The Xiao Xiangling Railway Tunnel, the longest tunnel currently under construction on the Chengdu-Kunming second line, is 21775m long. Located in the high-mountain region of the Hengduan Mountains, it is a Class I high-risk tunnel with various adverse geological conditions, including coal seam gas, large deformation of soft rock, karst, rock piles, radioactivity, weak rock bursts, and fault fracture zones.
